Revision Questions

Area of segments problem

This is an ideal question to do for revision based on areas of sectors and segments.

A smaller circle of radius 5cm and a larger circle of radius 12cm overlap. They overlap so that the centres of the circles are 13cm apart. Find the area of the overlap between the circles.

The answer is 26.2 cm² but if you get stuck then the worked solution will hopefully show you.
