Example 2

I am putting together a collection of what I see as bad habits that I see as a teacher. I have not found any other resource that seems to show this so I thought that it would be a good idea to make a start.

In this next example I give you a simple area to work out. Two rectangles joined together. The problem is very easy as you will see in the video but questions that require multiple stages are often written down poorly. Without giving too much away, please try this. Get a pencil and paper and lay your solution out as if it were given in an exam. Show all working however simple.
