Roots of a quadratic equation - complex conjugate pairs
If a quadratic equation has complex roots then they are complex conjugate pairs. In this video I show you how we can use this fact to find the quadratic equation knowing one of the roots.
I demonstrate this through this example:
- Find the quadratic equation that has 5 - 3i as one of its roots.
You are then given this question to try.
- Find the quadratic equation that has -4 + 2i as one of its roots.
